Essentials website design package
Every business needs a website
It's where search engines can find you
It's where potential customers can find you
Our "Essentials website design package" is the perfect place to start to create your first website.
If you have just started out in business or have never had a website before, this is where you may like to begin – with an affordable one or two page website.
It is an ideal size for a small business owner, a new community group or a charity, which wants to have an online presence but has a limited start-up budget or is unsure about where to start building a website. It can be easily updated and expanded with additional text, images and pages in the future.
Our "Essentials" website design package is an affordable ‘brochure’ website for anyone wishing to establish their presence on the web for the first time. Websites have become essential marketing tools for all businesses to help generate new enquiries and customers and provide contact details.
We organise and administer the domain name and web hosting; plan and design the pages; optimise all images; validated XHTML/CSS coding; submit it to the major search engines - all you have to do is supply us with the written content and images that you want to have online. We do everything else. If you have any questions, please fell free to contact us. Your website can also be updated and extended when your business and budget allow.
It will introduce you, your business or organisation and its products and services to potential customers so that they know where you are, what you do and how to contact you. And it works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We can create an "Essentials" website from about £225.
If at a later date this website does not meet all your needs, we can expand your site to include new pages.
Our comparison chart shows, at a glance, the principal features of all our website design packages.
If you are undecided whether this is the right type of website for you, read on or read the sections about our "Start-up Website Design Package" and "Business Website Design Package."
If you'd like to get started, you may like to read about our website design process and then contact us or complete our website enquiry form.
Running Costs
- Web hosting
- This cost is included in the initial price of your new site for the first year.
Subsequently, there is a small charge. For a typical small business the cost would be about £40 for 1 year - Domain name registration
- This cost is included in the initial price of your new site for the first 2 years.
Subsequently, there is a small charge. A typical price for a ".co.uk" address is £20 for 2 years.
These are the only 2 additional costs you will incur in the running of your website.
Keeping your website up-to-date
Maintenance and support for your website are free for the first month, after that you can maintain your website yourself or we can agree a maintenance plan with you.
Disadvantages of having a one or two page website
- If your page gets too big, it will take too long for your visitors to download
- You have limited space to say everything you might want to say
- You have limited space to display images
- It can be harder for your visitors to find what they want as everything is on one page
Consider if a one or two page site meets all your needs, it could be a false economy. A slightly larger site will give you room to explain what you are offering in much more detail and a website with 4 or 5 pages will not cost 4 or 5 times the price.
The cost of a website is not proportionate to the number of pages required. A single page website requires designing and coding which can be used just once, or a 100 times on a 100 pages.
It is fine to make a small, one or two page site, to announce to the world that you exist.
However, this is not the most effective use of a website, except under limited circumstances.
